Conference

A funny notebook I picked up in J-Town, posted mainly to show Gabe the odd English. The spelling is fine, and it makes sense as a sentence. It's just odd because no native English speaker would say something like this to try and sell a product. The picture is a little too fuzzy to read, it says "When I changed concept, I could see genuine articles. A reliable brand selected by those with good taste."

The Hat

Just a picture of what a pastrami sandwich and chili-cheese fries look like from The Hat. The food is soooo good.

Holiday Dinner

A picture of our wonderful departmental luncheon. I paid $15 to attend but got a $5 Trader Joe's card in return, so this was only $10. It doesn't really look like $10 worth though. Next year the person planning the luncheon will have more time to plan, so it should be 100% better.

Christmas Tree

A picture of a Christmas tree at Hearst Castle. The people you see sitting in the foreground are docents, volunteers who dress like guests of William Randolph Hearst during the 30's to add some spark to the tour. There isn't a ton to do in the area, but Hearst Castle is definitely worth seeing if you're in the area. San Simeon isn't far from San Luis Obispo either, so that may be the place to spend the rest of your time.

The outside pool at Hearst Castle. It's 10 feet deep at the near end, and 3 feet at the far end.

Yay! This is my 100th picture posted!

Little Sur Inn

The Inn we stayed at in Cambria.

Elephant Seal

Okay, so this little guy isn't quite 7,000 pounds. But he will be some day, if he isn't eaten by a shark first.

Elephant Seals are Dangerous

Remember kids, a severely territorial 7,000 pound marine mammal with huge canine teeth isn't part of a petting zoo. Keep back!
